NYC center of the national 501(c)(3) Best Friends Animal Society, 307 W Broadway, SoHo 10013, open daily 11-7. Cats on-site daily; most DOGS are in foster homes, so CALL AHEAD to meet a specific dog. Works collaboratively with ACC + local rescues. Cannot take owner surrenders (unless previously adopted from them) but provides keep-your-pet resources + partner referrals.
